Your new supplier will ask for opening meter readings just before your flip is due to complete — we'll let you know when they do, and you can submit them via Flipper.
These readings are then sent by the new supplier to the old supplier, to be used as the final readings - this is to ensure there is no overlap and you do not pay for the same energy twice.
Your old supplier should not ask for final readings directly, but if they do, you’re OK to provide it to them as long as it’s the same reading you’ve given to the new supplier.
It's very important you submit the meter readings to your new supplier. This will help to make sure you are billed correctly from the start and have an accurate final bill too.
